We stretched and dressed our pizzas in the dining room, then ran from the door directly into the rain. A large, outdoor umbrella set up in front of the wood oven provided some respite from what fluctuated between a friendly sprinkle and good ol’ fashioned “cats and dogs”.
Little Amelia Sicat made a particularly delicious pizza with anchovy, potato, sorrel, fresh mozzarella and a farm egg.
Master Gardener, Edgar Lo, made a wonderful spicy sausage pie, too.

radishes with cumin salt
sautéed greens with garlic, cayenne pepper and roasted fennel
tomato sauce, red onion, green garlic in oil, hot pepper, potato slices, pork sausage, peppadews, sorrel, rosemary, anchovy, lemon for squeezing and farm eggs
fresh and smoked mozzarella, provolone, fontina and Parmigiano Reggiano
