We ate this early-evening buffet prior to a talk on sustaining landscape that was held in the historic Villa Montalvo.  Kelly Sicat, Director of the Lucas Artists Residency Program and Delmar McComb, Montalvo Garden Curator, touched on the complexities of maintaining and creating a space that is simultaneously historical and manicured, flanked by wilderness and an environment for modern day artists and their work.
